Kelly Mahler, OTD, OTR/L – *Sale price applies to first 50 registrations* Live interactive webinar. Kelly will discuss common emotion regulation supports, offering practical solutions to align your work with the latest evidence and neurodivergent voice.
The neurodiversity field must continually evolve as new scientific insights emerge and lived experiences are shared. While progress has been made, it can feel overwhelming to keep pace with emerging research and neurodivergent perspectives—and even more challenging to translate this knowledge into practical strategies. This course will explore common emotion regulation supports, offering practical solutions to align your work with the latest evidence and neurodivergent voice.
Key areas of shift will include:
· From trauma-blind to trauma-informed
· From compliance-driven to regulation-driven
· From sensory exposure/desensitization to sensory safety
· From cognitive therapy to interoception-based work
· From deficit-focused to strength-based
· From theory of mind to theory of OWN mind
If you’re ready to expand your knowledge and nurture emotion regulation in the learners you serve, this course will equip you with the tools to stay at the forefront of modern practices. Lecture, powerpoint and case examples will be provided.
Who should attend?
The intended audience includes Special Education teachers, Speech-Language Therapists, OTs, counselors, general education teachers, administrators, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, PTs, principals, nurses, parents, and anyone who works with someone on the autism spectrum or any other neurodivergent learning needs.
