Jillian Meinhardt, LCSW, LICSW, LCSW-C – In this 60 minute on demand course, Jillian will address the effectiveness and application of restorative practices in the classroom.
This one-hour course will address the effectiveness and application of restorative practices in the classroom. Participants will be able to identify the benefits of restorative practices, the intersection between restorative practices and neurodivergent learners and tangible restorative practice strategies for implementation. Key skills discussed include proactive and restorative circles, conflict resolution skills, reentry meetings and expectation setting. Participants will leave confident in their ability to implement restorative practices, benefiting both their students and the broader school community. This course will use powerpoint, lecture and case examples to teach the content.
Who should attend?
This Introductory level course is intended for anyone working with a students in a school setting (educators, administrators, mental health providers, support staff, parents, camp counselors, camp administrators, religious school educators, etc.). No prerequisites required.

Jillian Meinhardt, LCSW, LCSW-C, LICSW
Jillian Meinhardt is a licensed clinical social worker in DC, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia. She is the founder of The Bari Group, LLC providing therapy for children and families, education consulting services and workshops. Jillian also serves as the Wellness Director for Camp Danbee where she provides mental health training for staff, coordinates with families and outside therapists and ensures that every camper and staff member is thriving emotionally, mentally and physically at camp. Jillian has spoken on the topic of Suicide Prevention at the NASW National Conference and the National Center for School Mental Health Annual Conference (December 2024). Jillian began her career as the Clinical Team Leader for the Sheppard Pratt Therapeutic Lower and Middle School, leading programs, ensuring all learning needs were met, supervising staff and implementing restorative practices and suicide prevention policies. Jillian is passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners and helping families and school staff work together for success.
