Zouheir Kabbara, M.A., CCC-SLP – In this 60 minute on demand course, Zouheir will introduce the basics of diagnostics and neurology as it relates to autism. This course creates a bridge between diagnostics, research and practice to help anyone interested in autism or who is in contact with autistic individuals better understand what it means to be autistic from a neurodevelopmental standpoint.
This course is aimed at introducing you to the basics of diagnostics and neurology as it relates to autism. In addition, the course addresses some important myths and facts regarding autism as well as some of the important recent research published about autism as it pertains to professionals, family members and staff who are in contact with autistic individuals. This course creates a bridge between diagnostics, research and practice to help anyone interested in autism or who is in contact with autistic individuals better understand what it means to be autistic from a neurodevelopmental standpoint.
Who should attend?
Special Education teachers, Speech-Language Therapists, OTs, counselors, general education teachers, administrators, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, PTs, principals, nurses, parents, and anyone who works with someone on the autism spectrum or other neurodivergent learning needs. This conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend and will cover content applicable for preschool through adulthood.

Zouheir Kabbara, MA, CCC-SLP
Zouheir Kabbara, MA, CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist currently working on a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders. Zouheir holds two bachelor degrees, psychology and communication sciences and disorders, and a masters degree in communication sciences and disorders. He was born and raised in Tripoli, Lebanon but has pursued higher education entirely in the USA. Zouheir’s current research is centered around autism diagnostics and inclusivity particularly among females who identify with autism. Zouheir has been extensively involved in autism research for the past four years and has presented his research findings twice at the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) convention.
