Join us as Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC-SLP shares interventions to not merely compensate for but facilitate the neurological development of EF skills to ensure success at college and adulthood in time and task management; information management; attention; organization; and independent living.
The transition from high school to college has always placed high demands on students’ executive function (EF) skills - and these demands have grown exponentially for students who have experienced the altered virtual and post-virtual learning environments of the pandemic, which substantially reduced spatial, temporal, object, and social cues that traditionally helped guide students toward greater independence in preparing for college/ adulthood. Now more than ever students need to relearn/learn how to be situationally aware, plan over extended time frames, manage distractions and increase their ‘workability’. Learn interventions to not merely compensate for but facilitate the neurological development of EF skills to ensure success at college and adulthood in time and task management; information management; attention; organization; and independent living.
