This presentation will review echolalia and its role in gestalt language development. We will take a look at the difference between analytic language development and gestalt language development, as well as, how to identify if a child is a gestalt language processor. The stages of gestalt language development will be outlined and an in-depth look at laying the foundation for effective assessment and treatment of natural language development for gestalt language processors will be made.
Who should attend?
The intended audience includes educators and therapists working with children and adults in early intervention, preschool, school and community settings, parents, speech language therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists and administrators. This conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend.

KATHRYN ARNOLD, MCD, CCC-SLP
Kathryn Arnold, MCD, CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in Gestalt Language Processing. She received her Master’s degree from Auburn University. Kathryn has provided speech-language services primarily in private practice clinics and schools across the United States. She is a private practice owner, military spouse, and mom. Clinical education and providing educational supports to families is Kathryn’s passion which is why she is part of the Meaningful Speech team.
